5th Grade Supply List 2026-2027

Beginning of School Year

We would like to welcome you and your child to 5th Grade at P.S. 55 Q. Please ensure that your child has all the listed items to begin the 2026-2027 school year. Please place the items in a bag with your child’s name on it.

The first day of school is Thursday, September 10, 2026.

Reminders:

Supplies will not be shared.
Please do not label supplies - we will label in class.
Supply drop-off is tentatively scheduled to occur on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 from 1:30 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. It is asked that all supplies be dropped off on that day.

Supply List:

-7 plastic folders (solid colors preferred)

-5 marble composition notebooks

-1 pair of over-the-ear headphones, must be plug-in, not Bluetooth (see sample picture below)

-3 boxes of wooden pencils (presharpened preferred)

-1 set of colored pencils OR markers

-1 large pencil case

-2 Glue Sticks only

-1 pair of child-safe scissors

IMPORTANT: PLEASE LABEL ALL SUPPLIES WITH YOUR CHILD'S FIRST AND LAST NAME.

We appreciate your cooperation in obtaining these supplies. Please note that additional supplies may be requested throughout the year. We look forward to working together with you and your child to make the coming school year a successful one.

-1 package of highlighters

-1 roll of Scotch tape

-1 pack of erasable pens only

-2 boxes of dry-erase markers with dry erasers

-1 dry eraser OR NEW socks

-2 packs of disinfectant wipes

-1 bottle of hand sanitizer

-2 rolls of paper towels

-3 boxes of tissues

-1 pack of white copy paper (8 1/2 x 11)
