2nd Grade Supply List 2026-2027

Beginning of School Year

We would like to welcome you and your child to 2nd Grade at P.S. 55 Q. Please ensure that your child has all the listed items to begin the 2026-2027 school year. Please place the items in a bag with your child’s name on it.

The first day of school is Thursday, September 10, 2026.

Reminders:

Supplies will not be shared.
Please make sure all items are clearly labeled with your child’s first and last name.
Supply drop-off is tentatively scheduled to occur on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. It is asked that all supplies be dropped off on that day.

Supply List:

-6 plastic solid-colored two-pocket folders (Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, and Orange)

-2 boxes of tissues

-1 bottle of hand sanitizer

-5 packs #2 SHARPENED pencils

-2 packs of pencil cap erasers

-1- 12” ruler with inches and centimeters

-2 regular marble composition notebooks

-1 box of dry-erase markers

-1 box of Crayola 24-count crayons

IMPORTANT: PLEASE LABEL ALL SUPPLIES WITH YOUR CHILD'S FIRST AND LAST NAME.

We appreciate your cooperation in obtaining these supplies. Please note that additional supplies may be requested throughout the year. We look forward to working together with you and your child to make the coming school year a successful one.

-3 glue sticks

-1 blunt-edge child scissor

-1 pair of over-the-ear headphones that plug into the device, not Bluetooth (see sample picture below)

-1 box of gallon-size Ziploc bags

-1 box of quart-size Ziploc bags

-1 soft pencil case

-1 roll of paper towels

-1 pack of white copy paper (8 1/2 x 11)

-2 packs of Clorox wipes
